BACHATA

Bachata is a form of music and dance that originated in the countryside and rural neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic.  The romantic music is usually based on dramatic tales of heartbreak and forsaken love. The beat is much slower than Salsa or Cha Cha but extremely sensual and sexy.

Like Cha Cha, Bachata can be danced to both Latin, Latin Pop and Contemporary pop. In Latin Dance Clubs, it is often played between Salsa sets.  It is a great addition to your repertoire. and can make you look like a savvy Latin Dance expert!

At the Sonata Room, we offer a Bachata class every session. To learn more about our Bachata Class Schedule check here.
